Now we’re getting into spring, I really want to try giving dresses a second chance. It’s been a long time since I’ve worn dresses during the day time, as I often only wear them for special occasions and nights out. I used to find it difficult to find a dress that suited my style and was casual enough for the day time, but finally I’ve began finding more and more dresses that I love! In this post, I’ll show you my two recent faves, styled with my Converse Hi Tops to keep the whole casual feel.
Black Mesh Dress – Primark – £10.00
You may remember in my first ever wish list post, I mentioned wanting a mesh dress. Now, this isn’t exactly what I had in mind, but it’s still cute as heck and will do me just fine till I can afford the cheap monday one, as at £10, this is a steal!
As this is all black, I prefer to wear it without tights so the dress doesn’t get lost amidst a huge bundle of black. It also gives it a slightly more summery feel, whilst still being perfect for the colder months too where everyone converts their wardrobe to darker hues.
Striped Dress – Cheap Monday – £35.00
Now, this dress is a bit more pricey than the Primark one, but ASOS had 20% student discount so I couldn’t say no really! What I love about this is the high neck, high necks are my favourite thing ever and if all my clothing could be high necked, I’d be a happy lady.
What’s even better about this dress is how comfy and slouchy it is, making for the perfect casual dress! I got this in a size small (i’m usually a size 6/8) which is perfect as it’s not too tight fitted but not crazily long either.
