Okay, so St Patrick’s Day has been and gone and most people have slept off their hangovers by now too, but that doesn’t mean I’m not gonna share my look with you anyway because you can totally wear this look any other day of the year too!
When it came to making a St Patrick’s Day inspired look, I was slightly scared as I’ve played around with green before and have hated the colour on me. But then I thought, why not make the green more subtle and include a bundle of gold in there as the main focus point. The inspiration from the gold came from the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for all the little leprechauns out there.
To create this look, I used the Morphe 35B palette, as I use for 90% of my looks, and also Fortune from the Illamasqua Eyes that Hypnotise Extinct palette. I also used sticky tape along the edge of my eye to create a crisp, clean winged look.
I started by using my illamasqua sketch stick in Trip to map out where the green will be placed, and to give more pigment. Then I used lightest green (A) in the 35B palette all over my crease and brought this towards my brow bone as a transition colour. Then I continued putting the different greens into my crease getting darker and using less each time (going from B, to D, and finishing with C). Then I used an angled brush to pack the dark green (C) more precisely in my crease and then blended this out.
I then used NYX Glitter Primer and packed Fortune on top of it, to create a cut crease effect. I then went back in with the dark green on the outer edges, and then created a winged liner using the Kiko Milano Precision Eyeliner, although I think this look would look better without it in future.
