This Thursday, I was meant to be shooting at a fashion event however, the organisation was rather poor therefore, I didn’t follow it up. Instead, I went to go shoot Moose Blood in Leicester and I had so much fun! I think whilst there, I learnt what it is I really love which is gig photography. Fashion photography interests me but I love live photography so much more and seeing how the crowd respond to the bands. I don’t know what it is about seeing a band live that makes me so much happier than listening to the music in my room but it’s great!
Moose Blood absolutely killed it too. They’re just as good live as they are on record, if not, better. They also seem like such a humble group. A lot of people call them a “tumblr hype band” as they are big on tumblr and really popular, but even if they are, they are still such friendly guys and when you see how they react to the crowd going insane over their songs and singing the lyrics back to them, you’ll see why. They all get the biggest grins on their faces. At the Leicester gig, they even played “Cherry” after the crowd kept chanting it in order to get them to play it. After a bit of thought from the band, they decided to try squeeze it in, even though they didn’t have a capo so they had to play it in a lower tone. The rest of the band left the stage and Eddy remained to play it, the whole crowd sung every word back to him and the look of happiness on his face was really something. Honestly, they seem like such great guys and if you haven’t already, you should give them a listen!
Here’s some pictures of the night, you can find more on my flickr at https://www.flickr.com/photos/hayleyfearnleyphoto/sets/72157651214548805/
And here’s what I picked up from the merch table! FYI the hoodie is the biggest, comfiest, cosiest, snuggliest hoodie I have ever owned. It’s a size small but slightly on the bigger size. I’m in love with it.
