Graze Box 2

December 1, 2014

After recieving my second graze box on Monday, I am much more pleased with this one. I have been wanting to try the cookies and cream punnet and billionaires shortbread punnet for a while now on top of my porridge and the flapjack looked super tasty. I apologise in advance for the quality of images in this post, the lighting wasn’t that great therefore, they didn’t turn out very well.

Here’s what I got in the box: Smoky Chipotle Dip, Billionaire’s shortbread, Summer berry flapjack ad cookies and cream. All my snacks had the “f” symbol on them this time, showing that they’re all a good source of fibre.

Smoky Chipotle Dip

The smoky chipotle dip was definitely my least favourite snack out of this box. The chipotle dip had a slight spice to it and kind of reminded me of BBQ sauce, which I’m not a fan of anyway. The breadsticks included were okay on their own however, I think they are slightly on the dry side therefore would be much better with the dip. The only way I can describe the dip is like a bbq salsa dip. Personally, I wouldn’t order this again and it has been added to my “bin” but it’s still worth a try.

Summer Berry Flapjack

I feel as though I need to apologise for the quality of these images again, the colour is just awful. But, the summer berry flapjack was great! It had quite big chunks of berry-infused cranberries in it which were really nice and sweet. The flapjack comes in at 230 calories, more than the graze brownie however, I think it is much nicer. It has a chewy texture and you can really taste and feel the oats, they aren’t drowned out by golden syrup like many flapjacks are. It is cut into 3 pieces therefore, one piece only contains 76 calories which I felt one slice was enough (although I could still eat the whole thing in one go, it was good)

Billionaires Shortbread

The billionaires shortbread is a mix of fudge, blanched almonds, milk chocolate drops and cranberries. I use this on top of my porridge which was delicious! I do wish the fudge pieces were bigger though as I didn’t really taste them that much. However, the chocolate drops and cranberries worked really well together and the chocolate started to melt slightly on top of the porridge which made it even better. I paired it with Biscoff Biscuit Spread which was perfect. I am not usually a fan of almonds however, I found the taste of them didn’t come through that much which was good. It like I got the health benefits from them without having to deal with the taste. The was rated as a “like”. One downside is that the punnet contains 192 calories which brought my breakfast up to a lot of calories. I may try it as a snack next time and see how it is.

Cookies and Cream

Although even nicer on top of porridge than the Billionaire’s shortbread, this adds even more calories to your porridge coming in at 214 calories. I think overall my breakfast came to 600 calories, which although it did fill me up for the day, it’s still an awful sight to see on my Fitness Pal. Saying that, I went without lunch and still wasn’t hungry so it does the job at filling me up and is ideal if I know I’m going to be out all day. It contains mini chocolate cookies, white chocolate buttons, roasted hazelnuts and sunflower seeds. It all made such a nice combination and the sunflower seeds and roasted hazelnuts made me feel less bad about having this on my porridge again. I would definitely recommend you try this one, it’s nice to have as a treat every so often whilst still being slightly healthy.
